Chain Tutorial
This is my first
real attmept at a tutorial,
so I am going
to go slow and easy for you.
Here we go!!!
First open a
image 300 x 300
with a transparent
background.
(I personally
like it to be big)
Make the foreground
color yellow.
Now come the
part where you need
to be patient.
We are going
to use the line tool.
So go click
on that now
Set the controls
at Bezier, width at 5.
And I have the
antialas Checked
Now place your
cursor at 150 X 0.
Draw a line
down to 150 x 50
Go to 150 x
25 hold down the left button,
drag the cursor
over to 125 x 25.
See your dimensions
in the lower
left hand corner?
Click.
You should have
a yellow, curved line.
It should look
like this.
Now go and place
your cursor back
at 150 x 0 again.
Draw you line back
down to 150
x 50 again and drag your
cursor to 175
x 50. Click. And now
you have your
first link in your chain.
Repeat the links
all the way down your
image. You should
have something like this.
Now go and click
on the magic wand.
Set the controls
at 100 tolerance and 0 feather
I have the sample
merge checked.
With your magic
wand, click on the
yellow part
of your chain. You will
see the marching
ants around your chain.
Now go to image,
down to plug in filters
and select Blade
Pro (Flaming Pearl).
This is where
your own taste comes into play.
Personally I
like the gold_shiny on my chain,
but you can
chose anything you like.
afterall it
is your chain.
Here is what
your finished chain should
look like or
a little different depending
on what bladepro
setting you used.
There are many
things you can do
with this chain
now. I have made jewels
to go in the
center of the links.
