Before you make your couch, you should have gone over the Flood Fill tutorial and Effects in PSP7.  You can use fabric patterns supplied with this tutorial, or use your own.

Open your fabric choice up in PSP.  Change the Styles to Pattern on both of the top two boxes and choose your pattern.  Place any texture in the top Texture box.  If you don't have one there, the pattern fill has transparent areas.  It doesn't matter which texture you choose because it won't show up in the pattern fill.

These are the 3 buttons we will be using from the Preset Shapes.
*Make sure you have unchecked Retain style and have Antialias checked.
The size should be 1, and do not check Vector.
Button 1

Open a new transparent image, 600x400.  Click on the first button, Button 012.  Add a new layer named bottom1.  This is your pillow seat, so draw one about the size of the one shown below in relation to your work space.  Use the magic wand to select the background.

Effects/3D/Outer Bevel/Pillow

Invert the selection and add a Drop Shadow with these settings:

Copy this layer and paste it two more times as a new layer for 3seat pillows.
Arrange your seats end to end.  You can mirror the last one on the right.

This is a good start, you have something to sit on while you work!
