PSP7 Photo Enhancement: 6

Now I don't want you to think that this final image is the total result of Enhance Photo!  It did cut my work time in half, but I went on to make some further adjustments.  I was dealing with two daughters here, and one wasn't at all happy with the angle of the photo and how it added pounds.  The other one wasn't happy with some blemishes on her face.

For Joy on the left, I selected some hair and cheek from the right side, pasted it as a new layer, then mirrored it.  I used the Eraser to blend it all in.  Then I went back to the background image and selected the right side of her dress and arm, pasted them on as a new layer, mirrored and then blended with the Eraser.  I merged the visible layers after that.

For Dawn I used the Clone tool, various sizes and mostly set at 70% opacity.  This allows the cloned area to plop in there a little less noticable.

Since this was a digital camera image, I did have some jpg squares on their faces that I wasn't happy with.  I used the Retouch tool, Soften.  The brush size was between 5 and 10, the opacity between 50% and 70%.

There were some bright white areas on the skin where the flash had bounced off of the skin.  I used the Air Brush, 30% opacity, different sizes.  I matched skin tone around the white areas and carefully airbrushed.

Finally I added some color to Dawn's cheeks in the same manner, with the air brush.  The flash had also hit the one side of the inside of her nose, so I cloned from the one side to the other so there wasn't a white spot glaring there anymore.

Let's just say that I made everyone happy!

Now on to page 7 to show tv captures, and to give you bad photos if you don't have any.
