Making Fantasy Images Examples

This was done much the same as the one for the tutorial.  Other than using a different photo image and space for the top, the only real difference is the second planet with its layer arranged under the landscape.  I also added Hoods Sparkle White tube for some large stars.

For this fantasy image, I placed the landscape on top, the sky on the bottom.  The garden archway is also one of the already cleared and selected images in the supplies.  The rainbow is from Hoods, and I did a few things to get that effect with it.  I used the deform tool and stretched the rainbow out.  I adjusted the layer opacity until I liked how it looked.  I used the smudge option found on the Retouch tool to smear the ground around the bottom of the garden.  I used some wildflower tubes on their own layer, and added the angel as the top layer.  Now I have a heavenly garden.

Well.......this turned out interesting.  I used the Mt. Rushmore image as my landscape.  For the top I used the St. Louis arch.  Then I really went to work.  I took a photo of myself, and air brushed around the hair with black.  Using the wand, I selected the image and pasted it as a new layer.  I reduced the layer opacity until I liked how it looked.  I then used the Soften Retouch tool around the hair.  Ok, it's still boring.  So I added a new layer and pasted the rock object available in supplies.  I used the Deform tool to change its size.  Then I moved it all the way over to the left, and using the freehand tool, removed the grass on the right side of the rocks.  Once again I softened the edges.  Ok, that rock needs a cat on it.  On a new layer I added Jesse the famous cat.  (he appears often in the story of Olive).  He didn't even need much softening.

Ok.......I'm still bored.  I used the freehand tool and selected the boring tree area.  I picked one of the waterfall images available in supplies.  I cropped it in closer to the waterfall and copied it.  Then after adding a new layer to the image, I went to edit, paste, paste into selection.  The waterfall filled in nicely, but its dark edges were glaring.  I went back to the Retouch tool, chose Lightness Down.  Making it a fairly large brush size of between 25 and 50 pixels, I adjusted the opacity to taste.  Making the landscape the active layer, I darkened all the areas around where I had pasted in the waterfall until everything blended.  Using an even larger brush size and a smaller opacity size, I then darkened the rocks with the presidents, then around my head, and a little of the rocks with Jesse on them.

The only thing left was to first soften the horizon line of the landscape, then soften the horizon line of the sky.
