Here we are going to be adding the film strips. Add a new layer, you can name it if you would like. Now click your tube tool

Leave it at the size it is now. Now click on your image. Anywhere is fine. We can move them if we don't like where it is. Now your image looks like this.

Now you want to add lots of these film strips all over your image. Make sure you add each film strip to their own layer and you can make the film strips different sizes. You can also rotate them around too. I have also added some squares in there too. Here is what my layer palette looks like now.

And here is what my image looks like so far with all the film strips and squares on it.

Remember to keep the filmstrips and squares on individual layers so you can move them where ever you want them once they are on your image. Now go to a filmstrip layer and make it active. With your magic wand, click inside the filmstrip/square. Go up to Selections/ Modify/ Expand. A window will pop up, we want to expand it by 1 pixel.

Go to your layer palette and make the background layer active.
Go to Edit, Copy. Now go back up to your layer palette, click the layer that you were working on and Paste into Selection. If you were to make all the other layers invisible this is what you should have.

Now you are going to do the same steps for all the other film strips and squares as we just did. So when you are finished and the background layer is invisible your image should look something like this.

Now we need to go to your background layer again. This time we are going to replace the background with something else. So choose another gradient or another background texture. Its up to you and your tastes.

Add a new layer. I took the holey part of the film strip and made the sides and then took my draw tool and drew a line across the top and bottom. Now you are finished. I hope you enjoy doing these as much as I did.
Here is my finished image.
