Making A Country Bed

It's time to do the sideboard.  On your layer palette, turn off the two comforter layers.  Next change the Scale on the wood pattern to 50.  Make the sideboard layer active.  Click on the sideboard with the Magic WandFlood Fill with the wood patternInvert the Selection.  Effects/3D/Inner Bevel/Bed Rounds Custom Preset.


Click on the Draw Tool again and change the Width to 3.
Draw a line along the top of the sideboard along the angle of the sideboard.

Convert to a Raster Layer.  Brightness/Contrast -40/10.
Copy and paste as a new layer for the bottom of the sideboard.

Update your layer palette for the 4 lines you have added.



Let's go to the Sheets!

I'm going to use this BlueFlower.jpg image for my comforter that will go on top.  So I'm picking a Solid Color that will compliment the Pattern.  Make the sheet layer active.  Click on the top of the sheet with the magic wand.  Flood Fill with your Solid Color.  Now click on the side of the sheet with your magic wand.  Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard and click on the front of the sheet.  Flood Fill with your solid color.  Leave selected.

Brightness/Contrast.  10/5.  Deselect.  Click on the Retouch Tool.  Choose Soften.
Size 10/Hardness 25/Opacity50.

Hold down the left click and move the Soften brush along the seams.
