Making A Country Bed
The Comforter Page 1

The sheets are on the bed, so it's time to add the comforter.  Turn the comforter layers back on by clicking the Eyeglasses on the Layer Palette.  Make the comforter bottom layer active. Flood Fill with your pattern making sure you have set the Scale back to 100, or whatever size looks best with the pattern you are using.  A Scale of 75 actually looked better for my comforter.

Invert the Selection.  Effects/3D/Outer Bevel/Comforter 2 Custom Preset.

Click on the Freehand Selection Tool.  Set to Antialias.
Trim where the comforter just meets the sideboard, the jaggies.

The bottom comforter should be sitting as you see it above.  The bottom of the comforter should now have a "tucked in" look with the sideboard and the baseboard.



The top of the comforter:

Make the comforter top layer active.  Set the top Textures swatch to Denim.
Flood Fill with your pattern and texture.

Invert the Selection.  Effects/3D/Outer Bevel/Comforter 1 Custom Preset.

 

Deselect and add Brightness/Contrast. 30/5.
