Making A Country Bed
The Comforter Page 2: Details, details!

Click on the Deform tool.
Stretch the top piece over until the dark bottom side reaches the edge of the bed.
(To end/complete a deform, you can click on another tool such as the selection tool.)

Click on the Freehand Selection Tool.

Select straight down as shown below.  Start your selection at the far left, along the edge of the comforter top, by left clicking once.  Pull the line down to the bottom, along the correct angle, left click again.  Then go up and left click, over and left click, down to where you started and right click.  (To end a Point to Point Selection, you always right click.)  Hit delete.

Click on the Draw tool with the settings below.  Have your Pattern as the top Styles swatch.
Draw the line from the top of the comforter to the bottom, keeping on the exact angle.

Deselect the vector line and convert to a Raster Layer.  Click on the Retouch Tool, Soften mode.  Brush size 5, Hardness 25, Opacity 50.  Where the line lies along the bottom of the comforter, use single clicks only to slightly soften.  Where the line lies along the top part of the comforter, use not only singles clicks, but hold down the left click and do bolder strokes.  Start from near the right side of the line and push left towards the comforter.  If you have softened too near the outside of this line, you can use the Freehand select, Point to Point/Antialias, to remove any blur.  Name this layer comforter vector line so you will be able to find it on your layer palette.

Speaking of Freehand select, Point to Point/Antialias, make your top comforter layer active.  Left click at the bottom, inside the jaggy edge.  Left click your way up this part of the top, getting closer to the edge where the straight part of the top begins.  Then backtrack yourself down and back to where you began.  Right click to end the Point to Point.  Hit Delete.

Do the same to the bottom inside of the top comforter piece.

(Remember to uncheck Antialias on your Selection tool before you use it for anything else.)
