This is really going to be a different experience. Open a new transparent image, 600x400. Use the capital D from the Boxes.ttf. Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard to do this. Stretch your text image similar to the image shown here. Once satisfied, convert to a raster layer.

Carefully select the right portion of the unit as shown below.
Copy and paste as a new layer. Deselect and then Mirror.
Zoom in to make sure you have your new layer on the same top
wood line.
Slide this layer right until both vertical strips of wood appear the
same size.
Merge Visible Layers.
With the Magic Wand, click on the background.
Then hold down the Shift key on the keyboard.
Select the 6 inner boxes only.
Invert the Selection.
Effects/3D/Inner Bevel/Bead Preset.
Next, select the bottom 4 boxes and the center of the
unit.
Selections/Modify/Expand. Expand by 2 pixels.
Flood fill with the Stained Wood Pattern. Leave sections selected.
Effects/3D/Inner Bevel/Bead Preset.
It's time to get really fancy with this one!
