Ok, ready to do a tiny node edit? This one won't hurt too much, but the legs might later! Now where were we? We had just finished making the basic section of the dresser. Let's make our own handle from scratch. And bear with me because this might not be real pretty! I'm willing to show you how my scratch stuff looks.
We'll make the handle two different ways. The first way will be with only one pattern, the wood01.jpg set as the Stroke/Foreground. Click on the Draw tool, the one that looks like a pencil. Set the Type as Point to Point Line. Width 3, Solid Line, Antialias and Create as vetor.

Work above your dresser body so you can judge the width of the handle. Place 4 Nodes/Points almost in a straight line. You want the two middle ones to drop down a little bit. If you have your Preferences set on Transparent backgrounds to show a small grid, then it's easy to judge your points from arranging them on the grid blocks. Once you have the 4 Nodes/Points in place, you can adjust the placement of the nodes then without clicking on any tools. Just put your cursor over one of the nodes. You will see a black arrow and a directional set of arrows come up. See how my first node on the left is not on the same line as my last/ending node is? Or if I wanted the two middle nodes on the same line I could nudge the second node up just a little. Notice the line between the two middle nodes. That will be a straight line if the two middle nodes are matched up on the same line. After you think the nodes look right to you........
Right click on your nodes. Click on Quit Node Editing.
The End Node Fig. below shows what will happen then.

End
Node Fig.
What if you aren't happy and want to go back and edit the nodes?
If you just click on the Node Edit tool on the Tool Palette,
your edit will be like the Deform tool.
Edit fig.
You need to have your Tool Options window open.
Then click on your vector with the Node Edit tool
Next click on Node Edit on your Tool Options window.
That will bring you back to the actual nodes. Now you can adjust
them again.
Once your vector looks good to you, convert to a raster layer.
Effects/3D/Inner Bevel/Metallic Preset.
If you want some interior shading on your handle, use a second pattern
or a solid color.
