Filing Cabinet 2

Before we start using the Inner & Outer Bevels, let me make this statement.  When creating a tutorial I try to use the standard presets that are in PSP7.  I feel this make it easier for people to follow if they don't have to fool around with the settings.  But you are certainly encouraged to play with the presets to find something you might like better.

The second important point to make when using the Inner & Outer Bevels is that the way they look will vary with the size and style of your furniture pieces.  Unless you are making your furniture exactly the way I've made mine, your results may look different to you.  This is why I encourage people to play with the bevels once they understand all the techniques.

Click on the background with the Magic Wand.  Hold down the Shift key on the Keyboard and click in both the top and bottom sections for the front of the drawers.  Invert the Selection.

Effects/Inner Bevel/Frame Preset.

With the Magic Wand, click on one of the two drawer sections.  Hold down the Shift key for the second drawer as you did above.  Go to Selections/Modify/Expand.  Expand by 2 pixels.

You can flip the Styles like I did to Flood Fill with the darker wood, or leave them as they are and Flood Fill with the lighter pattern of wood.  At the end of this tutorial I will show you some other examples with different looks.  You are encouraged to play and create your own look.

I tried two different Inner Bevel Presets.
The Bead Preset worked the best in my mind.

With just a few simple steps, your basic file cabinet is done.

Now to label the drawers.
