Making Windows 3
Variations
This section is to show you how you can vary the look of your window by changing the Styles swatches. The top swatch will be your Stroke, and the bottom swatch will be your Fill. The Stained Wood pattern comes with PSP7.

In this example, I changed the top swatch to do the inside of the window.

The next three variations show the difference in looks from using different wood patterns.
Number 1 and 2 use the same top swatch, Stained Wood. This effects the look of the outside frame when you first apply the vector text. The Stained Wood is then used in both window 1 and window 2 as the inner frame fill. This will help you in deciding the color tone you want your window to have. It really does make a big difference.
Number 3 window shows how well the blond wood compliments the darker pattern of wood that has touches of gold in it. You can view any of these 3 windows full size by clicking on them.
These are two last variations to show you. For these two windows I used the <, the "less than" sign. Using the Boxes.ttf, hold down the Shift key on the keyboard.
With window 4, I combined the dark wood and the brown & blond wood from window 3 above. This gave me a nice two-tone window frame. The Inner Bevel Preset I used is Groove.
With window 5 I used the light blond wood for both my Stroke and my Fill. The Inner Bevel Preset I used for this one is Bead. To get the window pane, I added a new layer and selected an area that covered the open window. Then I flood filled with the Metallic Gradient. Move that layer to the bottom. You can adjust the opacity also. You can view either of these two windows full size by clicking on them.
