Stained Glass Using Masks and Blade Pro
VERY useful for removing colors in clipart

Dragon Pattern
Double Dragon Pattern
(Click to view & download the fullsized version)

For this tutorial, you will need the stained glass pattern above, and the Blade Pro Preset Pewter.
Note here:  Do not resize the dragon image until you are done with it.  Here is the reason why.  A lot of clipart will run into problems when you resize it with the lines not meeting.  It is important that the lines not be broken by any resizing.  The finished stained glass image can be resized.

Open up double dragon pattern in PSP, copy it (shift D) and paste as a new image.

Go to Colors / Grey Scale.  This gets rid of the colors in your dragons.

If the clip art is pretty spotty like this one, go to Guassian Blur, these settings:

This light touch of softening will help in the next steps.
With the Magic Wand tolerence set at 60, click on the neutral shade of gray.
Now go to Selections, Modify, Select Similar.

Everything except for the black areas will be selected now.

With white set as the background color, bottom box on palette, hit delete.

The one ear on the right dragon does not look good, so zoom in with the paint brush.

You are now ready to use the Mask function.
