Making A Holiday Plate
A simple and easy method
Your plate should now look like this.
Click on the background with the magic wand.
Go to Selections/Modify/Expand. Expand by 2 pixels.
Go to Images/Blur/Guassian Blur. Blur by 1.
Invert the Selection.
Go to Images/Drop Shadow. Use the settings below.
Choose the Light Grey as the shadow color.

Add a new layer called Gold.
Use the circle selection once again at 100x100.
Draw the selection the same as the first one, the plate base.
Leave the circle selected and flood fill with white.
While still selected, use the Blade Pro preset goldplate.
Reduce the Opacity to about 30%.
Use the circle selection at 100x100.
Draw the selection to your own tastes...
Keep in mind this is your gold edge for the plate.
Hit Delete. Your plate should now look like this.

To add a little extra effect, click on the background with the magic
wand.
Go to Effects/3D/Outer Bevel. Use the Frames preset.
Or: Draw a box around the gold rim with the square Selection tool.
Click inside the box to select the whole rim.
Go to Effects/3D/Inner Bevel/Frames preset.
IF you don't have Blade Pro, you can download either version as a
psp file:
