The Airbrush

See the Paintbrush for more tips that also apply to the Airbrush.

The Airbrush is a very valuable tool for touching up images.  Use the Eyedropper to match the color of an area, drop the Opacity down low on the Airbrush, then watch the magic as you touch up spotty areas and blend so that you can't see where the bad spots were.

To add special effects to a graphic, lower the Density.

The Airbrush & Custom Brushes

As with the Paintbrush, you can also use those custom brushes with the Airbrush for interesting effects.  PSP7 comes with a nice set of custom brushes.  For the first example, I added in a custom angel brush.

Playing with one of the PSP7 custom brushes, I lowered the Opacity and held the left click down while traveling in an upside down U motion.  Add layers and change colors as well as changing custom brush designs to create fantasy art.  All the custom brushes used below come with PSP7.

Try adding in a texture by setting the Texture located below the Styles boxes under the Color Palette.  Try playing with the Step and the Opacity of the Airbrush along with different colors on the same image as I did with the lower right texture.  I combined layers of green and yellow with the Grass Texture.
