That little bits and pieces of a graphic is actually one of PSP's fish tubes. Now I can use the Straight Line in Draw for parts of this fish, but as you can see when I get to the back of the fish, using a straight line isn't working very well. With the Point to Point, I can lay down points along the curve of the back of the fish. When you get to the end of where you want to put down nodes, you can either click on another tool such as the Selection tool, or you can right click and choose Quit Node Editing from the menu that will pop up. See how nicely that line sticks to the curve of the fish? And I can use the Draw tool to cover up jaggy edges such as the bottom section of the fish below. I matched the color near the edge with the Eyedropper, then used the Point to Point Line.

It isn't all that bad, but I actually don't use them very much myself. Ok, so you've changed the Type on the Draw tool to Bezier Curve. Where do you start? What do you do? Put down your first node with a left click. Oh, didn't see anything happen? Now move to the right a little distance and put down a second node. Now you see something! Look at the image below. See where point #1 is and where point #2 is? Now place point #3 up above those two points, about in the middle. It's like forming a triangle. When you let go of the third point, the curve will pop up.

Let's get the curve to go in another direction. See where I place points 1 and 2? Then I place point 3. When I let go, my curve is pointing down.

Now I'm going to check Vector and do the same thing. I
now have a Vector Bezier Curve. Have your Tool Options
window up and click on Node Edit. The solid brown curve
poofs and I have a simple black curve. Now click on your Node
Editing tool.
Pass your cursor over the curve while holding down the Ctrl key
on the keyboard. See how things pop up? Like Add?
Click to add a node. You can pull on that node if you like and change
the shape of your curve. Now it looks a lot like a raindrop.
A fat one!
That's a really basic look at the Bezier curve which takes playing with to learn all the neat things you can do with it.
Custom Lines
There are a whole bunch of Custom Lines available in PSP7. Click on the arrow for the drop down menu. These are the line types you can use.
And you can do some very creative things with these lines. See
the last line? I used Blade Pro on that one.
