So I have this idea in my head. I open a new transparent image, 400x500. I have to make the first mark on the blank slate. I see a couple of things more clearly, so I start with them. Headboard first. I know I wanted it rounded and with some style. So I start with the rounded rectangle shape. Then I place a second one on for the top section of the headboard. Gee it looks really off! But I get out the paintbrush and paint in a carved outward piece. I now see the bottom is too high, so I trim some off. And I really need more top room, so I use the rectangle shape again to make the top higher. Then I use the eraser to try and get a flowing curve from the bottom, up to the extended piece, then in again and rounding off to the top. When I get the left side finally looking like I think I want it, I don't try to fix the right side, I cut it off. Then I copy the left side and paste it as a new selection on the headboard and mirror it.

Ok.......since I have no clue yet what the angle of the sheet will end up being, I go to the bottom and on a new layer draw the section for the baseboard. And remember how long it took me to be happy with the angle of the baseboard? Anyway.........for now I deform it a little bit while holding down the Shift key to just change the angle of the board. Then I got brave and added a new layer for the sheet. I deformed that holding down the Shift key also. You see.......I know I want a good view of the front of the bed, but.........I also want a good view of the side of the bed so I can see the sheets, pillows, etc. But I'm going to really have to play to get this perspective to ever look right. So I fiddle, deform, trim, etc., until I feel like I need to put the sideboard on to get that added perspective.

I just estimate how long this piece is going to need to be. So then I use the Deform to rotate and squeeze it until it sort of looks right. By now I'm thinking the sheets are way too long! And the angle seems off. So I deform the sheets again, squeezing them up and then shifting the angle.

Ok........my sideboard isn't right now. And I know that the sideboard has to meet up with the baseboard, on the same miter angle. Fixing the sideboard then throws the sheets way off. I figure I need to put in a temp bedpost or two in order to see this better.

This at least helps me trim up the sideboard.

So back to deform the sheets. And trimming afterward.
I think it's finally starting to have the right look.

So turning off the bedpost layers, I'm going to try and get the front
and side of the sheet right.
