Now we can do a little fancy stuff with our basic windows. For the one you created with a top, you can select that area inside the top and fill it with either a single piece of stained glass or a stained glass pattern. Here is an example of both. If you have been following the same sizes on your practice, you can download the two different pieces I used. I used the wand to select the area. Then I copied my glass piece and went to Edit, Paste, Paste Into Selection. Glass piece 1 Glass Piece 2

Another thing you can do with your window is to make it look more like there is a pane of glass in it. Add a new layer and flood fill it with white. Move it to the bottom. Now adjust the opacity. I made this version 40 opacity. I then merged visible layers and selected the left and right corners and deleted them. The flower was then added as a new layer and moved to the bottom. You can adjust your opacity to your own likes. At least it doesn't look like my window lost its glass!

Finally, I exported both my templates as tubes. I decided to play with manipulating them. This is a lot like working with the gallery room. I first added the center window layer. Then I added a new layer and added the window again. This time I used the deform tool to squeeze in the one end. I then had to move the side window and place it in the right position on the other side. You can then copy this layer and mirror it. I added a new layer and selected the area to the right of the window and flood filled it. Once again I copied this layer and moved it to the other side. For the top and bottom, once you have flood filled these areas you will need to use the Freehand Selection tool with the Point to Point settings and trim the parts that extend into the window area. Now I have the form for a window that is set back in an alcove. The possibilities are endless and depend on what you want to achieve.
